I am having trouble transferring from the PC back to my camera (and vice versa) using the firewire (IEEE1394, I-link, DV) connections, whats wrong?
For problems with transferring video into the PC: 1. Make sure the Fire wire cable is plugged into the PC capture card. 2. Open your video editing software. On DVM and model camcorders, select the Play mode, then press Play to start playback. On DVP model camcorders, select the Play and Video mode, then press Play to start playback. On DVL model camcorders, select the Play and Video mode, then press Play to start playback. 3. Plug the Fire wire cable into the DV in/out socket of the camcorder. If this does not work and you get an error message saying no capture device than check the Settings in the video editing software and try different video drivers. Also confirm within Windows Device Manager that theres no conflict with your Capture Card. For problems with transferring video back to the Camcorder: Since the transfer of digital signal to the camcorder is fully automatic (no controls or adjustments of the process are active other then start or stop) the signal coming from the compute
