Hosting and/or joining a peer to peer game requires that you have NO security enabled on your PC — no firewalls, proxies (including Internet Connection Sharing) or anything blocking a direct connection to your computer. IP games are done from the Internet. Security software blocks others from connecting directly to your machine, and makes peer-to-peer gaming nearly impossible.
