When connected correctly, your computer should recognize the HomePort as a new memory device. If not, ensure that the USB connections are secure on both ends. Click on My Computer and see if a memory device is listed among the drives. If no memory device is listed, try another standard USB cable. I am having difficulty opening the HomePort Workbook. The HomePort Workbook is a Microsoft Excel-based program. To utilize this tool, you must have Microsoft Excel or a program such as Open Office in order to read the file. After working with the file, it must be saved to your hard drive and then uploaded back to the account. This can be done using the Add File function on the “Building” page.
