I am going to undergo a surgical procedure with a doctor who will exceed the statutory fee. How much will my mutual insurance company contribute ?
With the new classification system for medical procedures (known as CCAM), surgical procedures are now classified in a different way. The classification is no longer standardised and the total cost varies depending on the procedures used. To find out how much we will contribute, the mutual insurance company needs the doctor to provide a detailed quote, stating the amount reimbursed by the compulsory state scheme and the excess amount. Following the hospital stay and in order to enable us to settle the excess fees, please send us the surgeon’s original invoice and the healthcare establishment’s original paid invoicing slip.
