I am getting a temperature reading that is way off of what the actual temperature is in building. What is wrong?
If you are receiving a very high or very low temperature reading, it means the sensor is either not connected properly or it is damaged. Replacement sensors are available. If the unit is recording a temperature that is only 5 to 10 degrees off, the unit has lost is calibration. It would need to be sent in to be recalibrated to the sensor. • The FreezeAlarm is not responding when I press the touch-tone keys on my telephone to program the unit or when I dial in. Check to see that your phone is playing touch-tones instead of “pulses”. There is usually a Touch-Tone®/Pulse dialing switch on the phone. If that is correct, try pressing the keys for different lengths of time – either longer presses or shorter presses. Put a pause between presses as well, taking your time to ensure the unit has the chance to read the correct touch-tone response. If this still doesn’t work, try using another telephone.
