I am fitting a 1600 k series in my 1400 spi GTi. Will everything change over from the GTi, including the ECU, or will I have to get a 1600 ECU?

We have not done this although we did consider putting 1.4 MPI into a 1.1 Metro. The safe answer is that you need the 1600 throttle body, inlet manifold, ECU and loom – not an easy job. You may be able to use the current loom/ECU but fit an alternative ECU such as Emerald to take over from the MEMS.
