If you have a bankruptcy attorney, you should make sure he or she is aware of your full financial situation.  Your attorney will need information such as pay stubs, tax returns, a list of creditors, a list of assets, estimated monthly income and expenses, among other information.

If you are representing yourself in bankruptcy, your will need to gather this same information to prepare your petition and schedules.  Then, you will need to properly prepare your petition and schedules and file the same with your local bankruptcy court.  You will then likely have to submit certain documents, including possibly bank statements, questionnaires, pay stubs, and tax returns to the court-appointed bankruptcy trustee.
