Make sure all other elements of the dub process are working correctly and the disc is dubbing normally. Make sure you have an amplifier or receiver, with speakers, connected to the CDP Analog OUT jacks on your CDR Recorder. (Even though the CDR Recorder output will appear at both the CDR OUT and CDP OUT jacks simultaneously when playing a CD, during the dubbing process, an output will only appear at the CDP OUT jacks.
