No, but you may be eligible for three (3) hours of paid release time. Although you should make every effort to register for courses outside of working hours, there may be circumstances that would necessitate taking a course during the workday. In this case, you must be appointed full-time, request prior approval and have obtained advance authorization for release time from your supervisor. Granting of release time is at the discretion of your supervisor and will be granted in one of two ways. Release time will be granted as paid release time up to three (3) hours per session where there will be no reduction in pay or it will be granted as unpaid release time where the employee will be required to make up the time.
