My scans were all 3 to 4 weeks out for each of my 3 babies. The scan said my due date was after the date I calculated. My son was born the day I had calculated (3 weeks before the scan date) but was a full term baby. My first daughter was a week after my calculated date and three weeks early according to the scan date – her twin sister did not survive as the placenta had failed and she starved within me. My other daughter was born the date after the scan date and was definately overdue as again the placenta had started to break down. She was not a well baby ad has had quite a few health problems. At every stage I was told I was just being anxious and that my dates must be wrong and the hospital was correct. At one point they even told me that the pregnancy test must have been wrong (came positive the day my first missed period was due). if they could not see the baby at “8 weeks” and when you came back 2 weeks later they said you were 6 weeks I would assume at the first appointment you were only 4 weeks, which woul dmean you were 2 weeks since conception, and you woul dnot be able to see the fetus at that point, your body is “pregnant” 2 weeks before actual conception, now if it is up to 5 days off Sperm can live in the body for up to 5 days if the conditions are right… so technically if you are 6 weeks now your baby is at 4 weeks growth, but you are still considered 6 weeks pregnant.
