I am behind a firewall and am having difficulty connecting to Chessmaster Live. What can I do?
If you are behind a firewall, it is quite likely that you will not be able to successfully connect to Chessmaster Live on ubi.com. Even if you ARE able to connect successfully, other users may not be able to connect to you if you host a session. Therefore, it is recommended that you do not host a CMLive session if you are behind a firewall. However, you do have some options. Chessmaster Live uses the default DirectX ports for communication. According to the Microsoft documentation, DirectPlay parsing uses the [2302,2400]U{6073} port/socket range to filter IP and IPX packets. If you open these ports on your firewall, you should be able to connect to a CMLive session, and host your own session as well.
