You can undertake the English and/or Maths 1 courses on the Summer School. You would be required to pay a course fee (£160.50 for Session 2010/11) for each course, but you can apply for an ILA to help towards the cost. However, if you are not eligible for an ILA you could apply for fee assistance. Normally, the Admission Selectors for the PGDE will require a minimum of grade 12’s for each course undertaken in order for you to gain entry onto the PGDE. (Grading scale goes from 1 to 20, with 1 being the lowest and 20 the highest, and 9 the Minimal Pass mark).
