I am an employer from a state other than Alaska. How do I obtain a background check on an applicant who used to live in Alaska?
For state non fingerprint based information for other than the subject of record: you must submit a form provided by the department. The form requires the subject of record to authorize release of the criminal history information to a 3rd party. The subject and the requester must sign the form and the record subject must sign an unsworn falsification statement. The form can be mailed or hand delivered to the department.
