I am an Australian postgraduate student in receipt of an Australian Postgraduate Award (APA). What is the implication if I receive an Endeavour Research Fellowship?
Students are required to suspend their APA if the Endeavour Research Fellowship provides a benefit greater than 75 per cent of the APA stipend rate. Income earned from sources unrelated to the course of study is not subject to the 75 per cent rule. The duration of the APA is not reduced by any periods of study undertaken overseas, for the degree, under an Endeavour Award. This allows students granted an international research scholarship, such as the Endeavour Australia Cheung Kong Research Fellowship, to resume their APA on return from overseas, for the remainder of the APA’s full duration. Students should contact the administrator of the APA at their home institution for further information.
