No. The Rebates are only payable on Complying Health Insurance Products (CHIPs) with a health insurer registered with the Private Health Insurance Administration Council (PHIAC). An overseas insurance policy, or an insurance policy which covers things that happen outside Australia, will not be a Complying Health Insurance Product (CHIP).
