I am afraid to turn off my virus protection program during installation. How can I protect against a virus in WorkWORLD itself?
ESI takes precautions against spreading viruses. All our computers employ automatic virus detection software, with the latest available data files. Distribution media is checked before shipment to help guard against any inadvertent release of a virus. You can easily check the files contained on the WorkWORLD distribution CD with your own anti-virus program. All good virus protection programs allow you to scan specific drives on demand to check for viruses. Before you open or run any files on a WorkWORLD distribution disk, set your virus protection program to scan the drive you will be using to read the WorkWORLD program disk. Be sure to set the scan parameters to include subfolders, scan all files (not just exe or program files), and scan within compressed files. If you don’t know how to do this, read the manual or the help system for your particular anti-virus program.
