I am able to view the gateway advertisement on Taking Authority Network but after it finishes playing it begins to show the buffering screen and never shows video again. What can I do?
Some of the digitizing equipment is using Windows Media Version 9. If your computer does not have the version 9 codecs, it will be unable to decode the information sent for the broadcast and thus be unable to provide playback. The gateway advertisements are digitized with Windows Media Encoder Version 7. This allows the stream to use the older more widely installed, Windows Media Version 7 Codecs this would allow you to only view the gateway and not the actual broadcast. Two methods are available to fix this issue: • Install Windows Media Player Version 9 from http://www.microsoft.com/mediaplayer and select the appropriate download for your operating system. • If you are unable to install Windows Media Player 9 due to a legacy operating system or low bandwidth, install the Windows Media 9 Codec pack available from http://www.microsoft.com/mediaplayer.
