In such cases you will not yet be in the University database and so cannot be issued with an email address or receive a ResNet connection. However you can be entered into the database as an honorary member of staff. Your hall should complete the Honorary Staff Record Form in the Personnel Forms Bank and have it authorised by your Hall Warden or the Accommodation Office. For further information, including details of where to return the form to, see Honorary Staff. When this is done you will be registered for IT facilities and can then connect to ResNet. If you don’t know whether your honorary staff registration has been processed yet you can check by looking yourself up in the University Contact Directory. You will need your UOB username and password to connect to ResNet – if you don’t know what these are contact the IT Help Desk.
