You must first complete a 60-hour course of classroom instruction in Principles and Practices for Salespersons. That course is offered across the State by providers approved by the Commission. They may be found on the the Commission’s website. Scroll to the bottom of the page to select NEW Approved Education Providers. Note that prelicensing providers are marked with a Y. Once you have successfully completed the course, you must take the examination, which is offered on a daily basis in several locations. The school will assist you in registering for the exam. After passing the licensing examination, you must apply for a license. The initial cost of a two-year salespersons license is $65. As part of your application, you will be required to state the name of the licensed Maryland broker with whom you will be affiliated.
