I am a retailer (of fuels other than natural gas or propane) and I paid security to my supplier. How do I get security back if I sell the fuel to an exempt end purchaser?
You may apply for a refund of security if you sell the fuel to someone who is exempt from carbon tax at the time of purchase, such as a Status Indian or a registered consumer. For more information, please see the notice Carbon Tax Refunds Deputy Collectors and Retail Dealers on our Carbon Tax website or contact the ministry.
