I am a practising member who will be retired by July 1. What should I do?
Members who are retired and in receipt of a pension related to teaching are eligible for the $0 fee. You do not need to pay the practising fee of $90 unless you will continue to teach after retirement. If you have a payroll-deduction authorization for College fees on file with your employer, please communicate your decision to retire to your employer and request cancellation of your payroll-deduction to avoid the automatic deduction in April. Visit the Certificate Holders’ Area on our website at www.bcct.ca to update your status to ‘retired’ or complete and return the Non-Practising Undertaking form, available from our website under Forms & Publications.
