Good question! In a nutshell, they are the same thing. Paid memberships used to be called “subscriptions,” and now they are called “enrollments.” Subscribers are now called “enrolled members” (and unpaid members are called “registered users.”) Paid members pay the same price and receive the same benefits as before; all that has changed is the wording we use. Early on, when it became clear that ChrisMartenson.com could only survive if it produced some self-supporting revenue, we decided to offer paid memberships that would bring added benefit to those who chose to purchase them. We called these paid membership “subscriptions” and referred to paid members “subscribers,” to distinguish them from registered users.
