You can operate in the UK for up to 3 months before you need a UK amateur radio licence. If you wish to operate for more than 3 months, you need to obtain a Harmonised Amateur Radio Examination Certificate (HAREC) from your country of qualification. You will then need to complete a paper Ofcom radio licence application form. This needs to be accompanied by your HAREC and payment of £20.
