No, not for entry into the program. Only transfer students who wish to enter the BSN program may be required to take the pre-admission exam. However, four-year B.S.N. students are required to take the test at the end of freshman year to continue in the nursing program. I am a transfer student, how many times am I allowed to take the ATI pre-admission exam? You may only take the exam twice. You may register to take the exam a second time as soon as you feel ready. If you wish to talk with an advisor before taking the exam a second time, please call (703) 284-1580. Can I be exempted from taking the ATI exam? The only people who are exempted from taking the ATI exam are individuals who already possess a bachelors degree from a U.S. accredited college or university with a grade point average (G.P.A.) of 2.8 or better.
