Don’t do it! Vista will take up much more memory plus, some games that recently came out and old ones aren’t compatible with the system. You being a serious gamer, means you must have a really good video card, they may not offer drivers for your graphics card and will serve as incompatible. Don’t do it, stay with XP.

wait until you need direct x 10 for games (microsoft forcing you to upgrade eventualy) but wait for now as too many driver problems these should all be sorted by the time you need to have vista
