When it comes to your admission there are three possibilities. You may be: • admitted without an assistantship. If you are admitted without an assistantship and have already provided a sufficient personal financial guarantee we could proceed with production of the I-20 on the strength of that financial guarantee. • admitted with an assistantship which covers your whole financial guarantee. If you are admitted with an assistantship which covers your whole financial guarantee we should be informed of the assistantship by the department and will cite the assistantship as the primary source of funding. • admitted with an assistantship which covers part of your financial guarantee. If you are admitted with an assistantship which covers part of your financial guarantee and you have provided a sufficient personal financial guarantee which covers the shortfall then we could produce the I-20 based upon the strength of that financial guarantee.
