If you were laid off from a General Government class and apply for statewide layoff lists at Higher Education employers, the Higher Education employers will determine the class(es) that uses the same, or essentially the same skills, abilities, and competencies as the class from which you were laid off and for which you are eligible. If you were laid off from a Higher Education class and apply to the Department of Personnel (DOP) to be on the statewide layoff list for employment in General Government, DOP will determine comparable General Government class(es).
