All certified and registered contractors licensed by the Florida Construction Industry Licensing Board are required to complete 14-hours of continuing education during each renewal period (every 2 years). Of the required 14-hours, you must complete one hour of each of the following: Workplace Safety, Workers’ Compensation, Business Practices, Advanced Building Code and Laws and Rules. Additionally, general, building, residential, roofing, specialty structure and glass and glazing contractors must complete one hour of Wind Mitigation Methodology as part of their required 14-hours.
