I am a BSc student and if I have selected to follow the major-minor option in my first-year, could I switch back to the BSc programme in the second year or subsequent years?
A BSc student must either graduate from a BSc programme or from the BSc major-minor curriculum. You will notice that the BSc programme in the same field requires more core courses than the major. For instance, the Food and Nutritional Science programme requires 39 credits of core courses in the first year, while the Food and Nutritional Science major requires only 27 credits of introductory courses. If you want to switch back to the BSc programme in your second year, you have to follow the BSc programme structure and make up the courses that you miss out in your first year.
