I am a 2nd year student of Archaeology from the University of Cardiff. Can I gain credit for my time at Silchester and is there any financial aid available?
Silchester offers 20 credits Higher Education Intermediate Level for 4 weeks participation on site and 10 credits Higher Education Intermediate Level for 2 weeks (8 or 4 credits US) – on completion of the accreditation task. Twenty credits at Higher Education Certificate Level are available for those who attend for one week and complete the accreditation task. If you wish to gain academic credit for your time at Silchester you must inform the Field School Director of the project in advance so that the means of assessment can be discussed. Unfortunately we cannot offer financial aid to other students but your own university department should be able to help and may contribute towards your costs.
