A. Some computers have TV / PC interface cards in them. If your computer has one of these interface cards installed, you should be able to connect a cable line to the interface card and using the computer software, supplied by the interface computer manufacturer and view television programming on your computer monitor. A separate connection is required (could be via a two way splitter) to provide signal to the cable modem. Splitting the incoming cable signal too many times can cause problems with reliability of the cable modem signal. This may require installation of an in-line amplifier that passes the return path signals necessary for the cable modem to work properly. (If this is required, a cable technician visit is recommended.
