I already have a turbo timer on my 1.8T. Why do I need the COMPANION Lite?

On 2002 – 2006 1.8T & 2.0T cars, when your turbo timer is idling the engine you can not lock/unlock your doors with the factory remote control or arm the factory alarm. Because the engine is running with your Turbo Timer, the factory alarm sees the engine running and does not allow the alarm brain/module to receive the remote signal in order to lock the doors and arm the alarm. The COMPANION Lite will enable the alarm module to receive the signal allowing it to lock and arm the factory alarm.
