I already have a standard Chicago Card Plus account that’s linked to the RTA/CTA Transit Benefit Fare Program. Will that benefit automatically transfer to the CCP/I-GO Card?

0

No. You must first cancel your original Chicago Card Plus account. When you cancel that account, the transit benefit linked to that specific card will not transfer to your new CCP/I-GO Card account. Every CCP and CCP/I-GO Card has a unique serial number located in the lower right corner on the back of the card. After your new CCP/I-GO Card is activated, you will need to submit this information along with an employee enrollment form to your employer. Your employer must have a CCP Transit Benefit Program account in order to receive the benefits of the RTA/CTA Transit Benefit Fare Program.
