I already have a home on my property. Can I place a Cottage on the same piece of property for parents, children, guest house, or rental?
In June of 2003, the State of California enacted a new law that basically says local jurisdictions (City, County) cannot unreasonably deny a permit for a 2nd home on private property as long as sanitation and set-back requirements are met.
