Adding a password to a PST file is a one-way process. There is no known way for a password to be “removed” from a PST file. It is a totally undocumented by Microsoft. You can try 2 things in case you do need to remove a password. (1)Read this PDF file by amset.info, it tells you how to remove a password from a PST file but it is not a supported option. Also, it does not work with Outlook 2003 files. (2) Use a Password Recovery tool. Here is a Google Directory of Password Recovery companies. We do not endorse any one of them. Caveat Emptor.
