I accidentally pre-allocated my entire hard drive to an AMcap capture. How do I “un-allocate” this so I can use the drive space again?
Pre-allocation of disk space simply places the captured file on a contiguous area of the hard drive and does not effect the ability to write to this space in any way by other applications. However, if you would like to remove the pre-allocation of space simply run Windows Defrag on the hard drive.
