Humane snares are being developed. Are they better?

0

Because of the crude nature of a snare it is impossible to make it humane; all it is, is a thin wire noose. No amount of regulation or development will make a snare target specific either so as long as snares are being used all animals will continue to be at risk. Using any device to deprive an animal of access to food and water for up to two days is cruel and barbaric. The fact that the snare is made ‘softer’ does not in any significant way reduce the impact on the animals’ welfare caused by its prolonged captivity.
