Yes. The leave donation plan for staff allows classified and unclassified employees to voluntarily provide assistance to a fellow employee who does not have a sufficient accrued leave balance for continued income during an extended illness, injury or other warranted medical condition. There is a separate leave donation plan for faculty, which is detailed in the AAUP agreement. According to Policy 3342-6-11.4, the administrative policy regarding paid leave donation, eligible full and part-time classified and unclassified employees may contribute or receive donated leave. To be eligible for donated leave, an employee must have a documented medical condition that is likely to require an absence from work of two weeks or more and have used all of his or her accrued leave time. To be eligible to donate accrued leave (sick or vacation time), an employee must have an accrued sick leave balance of at least 240 hours.
