Hows the incoming class – including standout Paul Harris – looking this year?
Paul Harris is an outstanding physical basketball player. He’s a very versatile player and can play at a couple different positions on the perimeter. He’s a very good passer and we expect him to help us this year. Mike Jones is another outstanding freshman who really can shoot the ball from the perimeter. I think overall with our freshman and our upper-class players we’re a better shooting team this year than we have been in the last couple of years and that should help us. Q: There are a plethora of big-name coaches in the Big East. Is there one or two that you like facing the most? Do any get you more pumped up than the others? A: You know, I don’t really think too much about the coaches on the other team. I think about the players. I get more concerned about good players in the league. Returning players like at Pittsburgh or at Georgetown: They have great players returning. So I worry about those guys. There are some great coaches in our league, but as a coach I tend to worry more a
