In the past, most of the Indian confectionery companies were local players with the unorganised units dominating the market. Entering the Indian market in 1994, we have come a long way by becoming the undisputed market leader in the Indian sugar confectionery market with the widest range of products in our portfolio with the largest distribution network. At present the domestic market is extremely intense in competition. The presence of multinational companies, global leaders in confectionery, large Indian companies and small-time manufacturers have added to the competitive spirit in the Indian market. In this situation we look forward to strengthening our existing brands and adding new brands to the list.
