How young can my child take piano lessons?
Well, I started to play the piano when I was 4 and at 7 years old, when my classmates just had their first piano lessons, I had a great advantage. Evgeny Kissin, a great pianist, started to take piano lessons when he was 2. I don’t say that he’s now where he is just because he started so early, but he certainly had an advantage. If your daughter is smart and like music she could try, why not? And, another tip: if she doesn’t like piano and she get bored, don’t push her, because she’ll start to hate the instrument. Let her to take a break and she can restart at 5, for example, when she’ll be “older and wiser”. All the best and good luck for your daughter!
