How you view it about “GLENMORGAN” a beautiful tourist spot near “OOTY” in Nilgiris,Tamil Nadu, India?
You are very correct. People who visit Otty generally visit the Botanical Gardens, Lake, Coonoor, Mudhumalai etc. only but do not visit some beautiful places in the surroundings. One such place is Gelnmorgan, which I visited a decade ago with my family and stayed there for 4/5 days in the Tea Estate, where my cousin brother was working. If he was not there, I also would not have ventured to visit the place when we normally visit Otty. Glenmorgan Tea Estates is owned by Glenmorgan Tea Estates. This Estate is famous for tea plantations and production of particular variety of tea called Chunmee tea meaning Eyebrow. The leaf resembles an eyebrow and that is why they got the name. It is famous for its flavor. This tea is produced at Glenmorgon and some other Estates in Otty area only. Glenmorgon estate is one of the oldest estates here. This place is 32 kms away from Otty and it is near Singadra power station of Pycara Power Eclectic Power co. There is a beautiful lake near this tea estate
