How would you clean hemp + twine webbing chair seats?
If they are truely hemp, do like the man says. Go to a car wash and use a pressure washer. It’s ok to use soap, but make sure that you rinse well. Hemp is a durible fiber. That’s why the US NAVY still uses it to tie their ships to the docks. Soap is not going to harm it, nor will water, salt water, or long bouts of direct sunlight. The sailing ships that brought settelers to the “New World” had sails made with hemp canvas. I’m sure they got dirty…..and were cleaned with soap and water.
