How would you change the consequences if Robert Clive didn bribe Mir Jafar?
Who am I to change the consequence of history. Of course, the East India Company’s win in the the battle of Pallesy in 1757 was due to conspiracy and connivance between Clive and Mir Zaffar and other relatives i\of Siraj ud daullah, yet it was inevitable as there was no sense of unity of the people. Even the Mughal Badsahs were in favour of sale out of a part of the country and the company was awarded the Diwani to the company in exchange of yearly 25 lakhs by Mughal Badsah Farukhshier in 1765 after wining the battle of Buxar. Paradox of history was that, the same Nawab Mirzaffar was removed by the company and brought Mir quashim. but Mirquashim declined to be a stooge of the company and the incident culminated in to the battle of Buxar.
