How would u ween baby off baby formula and introduce fresh milk?
My kids’ Dr’s expected me to use whole milk, not the 2% or any other blend. The straight up homogenized whole milk has the nutritional requirements for a 12 month old child who is eating some solid foods. If you transition from formula to milk, I would suggest you mix 3/4 formula to 1/4 whole milk for a few days (at least three whole days) and then 1/2 and 1/2 for a few days and then 3/4 whole milk to 1/4 formula. Before you finally switch to straight milk, consider if he/she has been able to keep poops regular the whole time you were changing the milk. He/she could get constipated or could get loose stools (diarrhea) If baby doesn’t have any problems like that and seems fine, then it seems safe to take the final step to whole milk all the time. If you see some problem, take a step back, try a week on the last level that worked for the baby, and try again to go the next step if they do OK for the week.
