How would this development act as a fitting memorial to the history of the park and the original Crystal Palace?
• The building itself would be built in the family likeness of its forebears of 1851 in Hyde Park and 1854 in Crystal Palace Park. It would have the same fenestration design using modern materials and technology. It would also be built on the same module as its predecessors but would be some 2/3 of their size, as a 1/3 size. In essence the New Crystal Palace would be an authentic, third generation Crystal Palace as a very fitting memorial in the purpose deigned setting of Crystal Palace Park. • The Palace would be raised on a plinth that would echo the design of the retaining walls in the Italian Terrace.
