If you mean the burning of a place of worship here in the UK, there might be disproportionate attention paid to the burning of a Mosque, than to any other place of worship. The police would be all over the place, like a rash, intent on finding the perpetrators and getting them to Court. I doubt if nearly as much police time and effort would be put into tracking down the burning of a mere Church! But I could be wrong. It needs to be said, though, that pyromaniacs are the most likely individuals to do that sort of thing. They are mentally ill people, often with a grudge against the group whose place of worship they set fire to. They do not constitute “an extremist group”. What bothers me is the silence in British media when Christian churches and Christians in other countries are attacked, resulting not merely in burned out buildings but in many murders.
