How would the permit process work under the proposal?
To obtain an approval for dock and/or ramp construction, we expect that people would have to meet the same conditions currently in place. In a national marine conservation area, Parks Canada would work with Fisheries and Oceans Canada and the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources to define the roles of each agency. Parks Canada may also be able to serve in an educational capacity, offering technical expertise to those planning work in the water.
