The Council would have to take account of a person’s income when assessing whether some one is eligible for charging, and also must ensure that no one is left with less than the basic level of income support plus 25%. Those who fall into any of the categories set out below would be exempt from charges for home care (2007/08 rates which will be updated for 2008/09).
