How would someone become a Catholic Priest?

0

CONGRATULATIONS! I’m very happy you are interested in joining the Priesthood and devoting your life to God and us. Firstly, everyone sins, including Priests. Just because you join the Priesthood doesn’t make you sinless. In fact Priests struggle with the same things we all do. Having sinned doesn’t stop you from becoming a Priest (including celibacy). Secondly, you are only in high school so most certainly can you become a Priest (you could at anytime, with the right classes, but for your age they haven’t even started yet) Thirdly, God obviously wants you for something special! Being a former atheist doesn’t hinder you becoming a priest. God is calling you! Act on it! I suggest you talk to someone at the church. Start with the Priest. Not only can he tell you how, but he can tell you about it. Good luck, and thank you for your want to serve us!!!
